A proper cleaning requires more than removing the plastic fascia, Spraying the fan wheel and coils with cleaner, then using an electric coil cleaning machine. Despite having a bucket of dirty water as a result, this practice often worsens the state of mold growth and the machines efficiency!

This poses the rapid return of mold growth as well as clumping portions together which may result in clogging your water line causing a leak inside you home. To make matters worse certain areas of you heat pump are susceptible to mold induced corrosion damaging your unit. Lastly under powered cleaning machines often compress Debis into the coils worsening air flow. This is most common in modern high efficiency heat pump brands such as Fujitsu, Daikin and Mitsubishi. The Process
Here is a Comprehensive Cleaning in process. on the left we see the fan/blower wheel. The right is the mounting and drain pan assembly.
The top are the evaporator coils.
Our process removes the fan wheel to gain access to the inside of the unit for visual inspection, proper cleaning of your drain pan and to reach otherwise inaccessible portions where mold is missed by other cleaning practices. Believe it or not this still not enough!
GoldStandard does not believe that one size fits all when it comes to cleaning. This is due to significant differences in heat pump model assemblies, thicknesses of evaporator coils, type of soiling such as dust, nicotine, hard carbon, protective coatings on coils, fur, and varying types of mold.

My name is Ian, formerly a paramedic I began GoldStandard in 2020. With four years in the industry I bring a plethora of experience, a keen attention to detail and a passion for cleaning.
My time in first response has taught me many lessons. One of which is the value that passion brings when determining success in any facet of our lives.

My passion for cleaning traces back many years to my early childhood. beginning at a young age I was known for my desire to clean by my peers, teachers and family. As I began to mature this was a quality noted and proclaimed by several employers rendering me the go to person for cleaning and organization in the work place.

Being able to combine my calling for health care and cleaning was an opportunity that I could not pass up. Improving air quality by removal of mold, dirt and other contaminants has a direct correlation with our health and well being.
